Steam für Mac nun erhältlich

Gerade einmal 2,7 MB ist das Steam-Installationspaket groß. Dieses kann seit gestern Abend unter www.steamgames.com heruntergeladen werden. Anschließend folgt ein rund 30 MB großes Update, das aus dem Internet heruntergeladen werden muss. Dann ist es endlich auch schon so weit, Mac-Gamern steht nun auch die Welt der Steam-Plattform offen. Bei der deutschen Grenzöffnung gab es Deutsche Mark, bei der Steam-Öffnung das Spiel “Portal” als Begrüßungsgeschenk (bis zum 24. Mai 2010).

Das tolle für alle Spieler die auch an einem PC spielen, schon über Steam gekaufte Spiele können in vielen Fällen auch demnächst kostenlos für den Mac benutzt werden. Bis jetzt halten sich die für den Mac über Steam verfügbaren Spielen noch in Grenzen. Jeden Mittwoch sollen aber neue Spiele folgen.
